As usual, any more interesting title ideas would be appreciated.
To grossly understate, this took me a while (about 2 weeks). I have a terrible habit on obsessing over details rather than looking at the picture as a whole, but I tried to curb that tendency with this piece. I also wanted to make it a distinguishable scene but still have her sticking out from her environment, so I echoed the same technique in the grass as in the leaves of the trees to make the forest look like its enveloping her while still retaining a definite location. Originally, she was going to be some sort of harbinger of winter, with frost beneath her, but I felt that that took away from her as a definitive focal point.
I love the wings! But something about the way the dress falls makes it looks like she's not really sitting on the swing. Perhaps some more shadows/tucks/creases where the material would be folding underneath her butt?
Thanks. I tried to do some more work in that image (reuploaded the image). In the current context of the file there isn't much I can do in that area, though I see what you're talking about.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
